so, i was watching america's next top model, and they flew to milan. and they flew in to the same airport as we did last year when i went to italy! i was excited, it's weird seeing somewhere you've actually been on tv.
oh, and i still don't think yoanna (sp?) is that attractive. i like mercedes.

now that i think about it, lj might be a healthy way to get your feelings out. i kind of missed it, actually. except something is different now; i don't really even care if anyone reads it...i just want to write.
some people make me so angry that i just want to punch a hole through the wall. i mean, are their lives so sadly lacking that they have to butt into mine? why can't people ever mind their own business? who are they to tell me how to live my life and what i'm doing is wrong or right when i could really care less about what they think in the first place!? did i ask for their opinion? NO. do i secretly want their opinion? not even in the slightest! i think a lot of people would live happier lives if they would focus more on their shortcomings rather than others'. ok, scratch that, this wasn't even a shortcoming of mine. it was a decision that i made! my life, my choices (not yours!) - so get over it.
and why do people have to pick fights? our relationship would be so much better if you would just freaking relax and keep your mouth shut. the whole world isn't particularly interested in what you think, just in case you didn't know. there have been so many times when i wanted to berate you on your behavior, but i didn't, because it was none of my business. AND because i have a maturity level higher than a child's.
sorry to anyone if they read this. but i honestly do feel better now. i contemplated deleting it, but i want to keep it for future reference. ; )

Whoa.
I have not updated in five billion years (thanks for the nudge, Erica)! In fact, it's been so long that I didn't even know they had "nudges" on livejournal.
So, it's 2 o'clock in the morning and I am wide awake. Why, you say? Because my sleeping schedule, no...make that my life schedule, is completely screwed up. Try doing basically the same thing for four years (except for increased pressure and decreased amount of sleep for each year) and then suddenly having nothing to do! It's mind-scrambling! Not that I'd rather go back to the way it was before, but I feel really lost and useless.
But, I mean, I have been doing things...just things that I never really had time to do before. Every weekend for the past four years I've thought of something that I wanted to do but didn't have time because of school. Well, now that I'm out of school it's actually been difficult to remember what those things are! If I could do it again, I would write every little thing that I wanted to do down.
That's another thing that's been on my mind lately. "What if..." Right now my life seems so set in stone, yet there's really nothing set yet except where I'm going to college, and almost every day I think about what life would be like if I had made different choices in high school. It's kind of pointless thinking, but someone's got to do it, right? Besides, I'm sure plenty of you are thinking the same thing, whether you are seniors or not.
Anyways, there's my welcome-back rant! Hey, we all deserve one once in a while. ; )
Happy Mother's Day to all of your moms! And hopefully to none of you!

I'M UPDATING! Because I was tagged by Urrcca!
20 Random Things About Me:
1. When someone asks me to do something or help with something, I can't say no. I think this is pretty obvious to most of you...
2. Music consumes a very large part of my life. There are very few types of music that I don't listen to (except some of the crap my sister listens to!). I like oldies (and no, I don't mean 80's music!). I spend a lot of time burning CDs for people, mostly so they'll like my music!
3. I know a lot of people think that I'm leadership- and SGA-oriented, and this is somewhat true, but I actually just got involved with it last year. I never thought I'd be so involved with it!
4. It is very rare when I go out and don't see anyone I know. Because I went to BBMS and did Children's Chorus, I know people all across Pensacola.
5. I love animals. I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 1 hamster, and 1 fish, whose name is Edison. People like to make fun of that for some reason, I don't know why.
6. I go through mini-addictions that last about two or three weeks. They range from computer games (like Bejeweled!) to daily routines to sayings to songs to food...just random things!
7. My sister and I squabble quite a bit, but we always make up really fast. She'll always be my favorite person in the whole wide world. EVER. Really, who else can yank my teeth out with a blanket and still make me love her?
8. I'm really not very social. Most of the time, Brittany makes me go to big parties and stuff like that.
9. I have a handful of really close friends that I've known for a really long time. My newest "close" friend would probably have to be Britreyn, who I met in 9th grade. But...Brittany and I have been best friends since 5th grade, Sarah and I have known each other since kindergarten, and I met Erica in 7th grade.
10. I have a really, really bad temper. Yeah, that's all I'll say about that...
11. I have a WHOLE BUNCH OF MAKEUP! I don't really wear that much anymore, but I used to be obsessed with it.
12. I've always been pretty anti-marriage and anti-kids, but I'm reconsidering my view on marriage. Still no kids, though.
13. My sister and I have dance-a-thons! Seriously, we get really into it! Our favorite (cheesy) dancing songs: "Gloria" by Laura Branigan, "I'm a Slave For You" by guess who!, any Queen song, any Shakira song...okay, any song, really!
14. I have a bunch of skirts and I hardly ever wear pants, in case you haven't noticed. I just feel better in skirts!
15. I used to be really snotty when it came to GP people. I'm not like that anymore, I really like them (sometimes I like them better than some IB people!).
16. I tend to have crushes on my teachers. There, I've admitted it!
17. My computer skills are selective. For example: I don't know how to LJ cut this, but I am an expert when it comes to Microsoft Excel. I love making graphs!
18. Some of my more impulsive career desires include: statistician, personal consultant (for a politician), dermatologist, writer, President of the United States! I haven't really decided yet, but it'll probably be something in foreign relations/government/politics, etc.
19. Most of my family members live in South Dakota. My grandparents live in a cabin in Rochford (population 25!), my cousins/aunts/uncles live in Rapid City, and my dad lives in Pierre (the capital!). Oh yes, and Erica went up there with me last summer and she's coming with me again this Thanksgiving!
20. I'm about to go to the football game with Brittany and Katie and some other people. It was supposed to be my date with Britreyn, but I ruined it, so she says! ; ) It was so hot during the pep rally; I was so sweaty and I lost my voice! So...I have to go take a shower. Yep...

so. i had an epiphany. i've been so stressed out recently, and there never seems to be enough time in the day to do everything. it's kind of like a "duh" thing, but i've never really thought about how much time i waste during the day doing random stuff. livejournal would be one of those things.
so, i'm doing an experiment to see if my days go any better when i cut out stuff like lj. for example: i'll only use the computer for school, emails, and reading msn news once a day. i don't really watch tv, so that's not a problem. talking on the phone/texting would probably be my biggest vice.
anyways...this is goodbye for a while, hopefully at least two weeks (if i can make it that long)! if you absolutely MUST talk to me, use email. only call on the phone if it's quick. this, of course, excludes sarah and erica.

so. half of my weekend was consumed by the sga district meeting...which was at navarre high school!
it turned out to be okay, especially with my ashleigh and wesley boos there! TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER! hahahaha. it was space-themed and quite funny.
i got to spend a lot of time with my mom this weekend, which surprisingly was pretty fun. it's very beneficial to hang out with the person who has all the dough!
after the meeting i went shopping and got surrah surrah's presents, then i went home and took a shower etc. etc. and met her and everyone at her house. it was nice to see old friends from elementary school!
we waited 55 minutes (!) to get seated at global grill, but it was worth it because we got to see the hot "water bitch" and mr. murray. and i got to see terry-sean kings and then we went bowling! and i won both games! YES!
today, however, was quite boring. i got late, mowed the lawn (bleh), got heat stroke, and did my bio assessment statements even though i didn't have to. don't ask me why. thennnnnnnnnn brittany came over and i did her eyebrows so she wouldn't look like oscar the grouch in her senior portraits which she is making up tomorrow!
welllllllllll, that's about it. does anyone know if we have a tok test tomorrow? something tells me we do, but i'm not sure.

the weekend has been awesome thus far...
last night consisted of hanging out with britt, alex, and britreyn at various places. we prank called oh, about half of our class and hung out of the sunroof of brittany's car (without some articles of clothing, if you get my drift) on the way home, where we all spent the night at britt's house watching movies. we're immature, we know! oh, and we went and saw lia at work with all those mexican guys!!!
so today, when i got home, my mom and sister played the best april fool's joke EVER EVER EVER! IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!!!
they told me that i had mail on the counter and that i should read it because it was important. so, i pick this thing and start reading it...and it says that i failed both sections of the fcat! and that i that i have to take remedial classes in school!
needless to say, i was bowled over. i just kept staring at it and wondering things like, "how the hell did this happen" and "this is going to be so embarrassing because i would have to give up sga to take those stupid remedial classes." then i started to cry. i couldn't help it!
my mom and my sister had been making remarks like "god, you're so retarded" and stuff like that, and all of the sudden they were like "jennie, look at the name on the paper!"
it said jennifer l. guffey. she was in tenth grade and went to tech. although they DID put my name on the envelope...
so, yeah. they got me pretty good.
anywho...now i'm going to go watch down with love (???) which brittany lent me. i hope it's good...though i guess it doesn't matter because EWAN MCGREGOR IS IN IT!
wayne's post made me regret not going back to chorus...kind of. oh, well. i hope everyone's weekend is going great!
